YMHA approves electric generators for senior high-rise apartments


YOUNGSTOWN — The board of trustees of the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority has approved a $702,769 contract for replacement emergency electric generators at its senior high-rise apartments.

Using federal stimulus money, the board entered into contract Thursday with Tri-Area Electric Co. of Youngstown for the design and installation of the upgraded, natural-gas-fueled generators by the end of this year at Amedia Plaza, Gutknecht Towers, Norton Manor, Vasu Manor, Struthers Manor and Lowellville Park Apartments.
