First lady visits Pa. today for anti-obesity campaign


PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Michelle Obama is in Philadelphia in support of her efforts against childhood obesity.

The first lady visited a North Philadelphia grocery store today in support of her “Let’s Move” campaign to curb obesity problems among children.

The campaign is geared toward helping parents make better food choices, serving healthier food in schools, making healthy food more available and affordable, and encouraging children to get more exercise.

The first lady was scheduled to visit an elementary school later today.

Obama was being joined on the visit by Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.
