HIGHLAND HEIGHTS — St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church was the setting at 2 p.m. Sept. 26 as nuptial vows were exchanged by Deborah A. Cerbus, 284 E. 324th St., Willowick, and Hal M. Katanik of Vermilion.

The bride is a daughter of Ronald and Eleanor Cerbus, 8580 High St. NE, Warren, and the groom is a son of Bernadine Katanik of Parma and the late Albert Katanik.

Officiating at the ceremony were the Rev. Joe McNulty and Deacon Joe Bourgeois.

The couple were honored during a reception at Wellington’s Catering before leaving on a wedding trip to Hocking Hills. They live in Willowick.

The honor attendant, Lisa Vojko of Willoughby, and the groom’s daughter and bridesmaid, Jaclyn Katanik of Wooster, wore teal gowns.

The duties of best man were performed by Paul Strama of Vermilion, and serving as groomsman was Josh Lucas of Wooster.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University and St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Medical Technology in Youngstown with a bachelor’s degree in medical technology. She is an American Society of Clinical Pathology registered medical technologist and laboratory coordinator with Cleveland Clinic Flow Cytometry Laboratory in Cleveland.

The groom serves with the National Ski Patrol. He is employed as a journeyman tool and die maker with Master Products in Cleveland and is attending a nursing school in Cleveland.
