‘Rumors’ at Mount Union

ALLIANCE — The Mount Union College department of theater will present the Neil Simon play “Rumors” at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and next Thursday, Feb. 26 and 27 in the Rodman Playhouse.

“Rumors” centers around four couples attending the wedding anniversary party of the deputy mayor of New York and his wife. At a large townhouse, the deputy mayor has just shot himself. While he lies bleeding in the other room, his wife is nowhere in sight. The first couple to arrive, both lawyers, find no servants, uncooked food, an indisposed host and a missing hostess. They must get “the story” straight before the other guests arrive. Confusion and miscommunication mount as the evening spins off into a classic farce. The Rodman Playhouse is located at Simpson Street and Union Avenue on the Mount Union campus. Tickets are $8. For more information or to reserve tickets, call (330) 821-2565.
