COLUMBIANA — The world premiere of “The Last Vampire on Earth,” a film shot last year in the Mahoning Valley with local actors, will be at 9 p.m. next Thursday at Main Street Theater, 5 N. Main St.

A reception with the cast and crew will follow the screening of the 90-minute film. Tickets are available for $10 at Lemodeln Model and Talent Agency, 7536 Market St., Boardman; call (330) 758-4417. This formal affair will begin with red-carpet arrivals.

“The Last Vampire on Earth” is based on a novel written by Mandie L. Abraham of Cleveland and directed by Vitaliy Versace, a Russian-born producer, director and actor who has worked on more than 200 television shows and films.

Casting was by Linda Weaver. Terrance Esarco was locations manager.

The story centers on Chloe and Aurelius, two college students with nothing in common — except they both have a secret. The unlikely couple begin a relationship.

McKenzie Grimmet, 15, of Cortland, and Michael Bole, 24, of Poland, play the lead roles.

Rounding out the cast are Nelson Reep, Zackary Taylor Orr, Keri Graham, Charles Creager, Nicholas Costello, Shane Sheerer, Kaitlyn Pernice, Jesika Pernice, Ada Span, Kevin N. Glaser, Sharon VanDervort, Justin Oliver, Esarco and Daniel Rios.

Scenes were shot in several Valley locations, including the Butler Insti-tute of American Art, the McDonough Museum, St. Patrick Church and the Lemon Grove in Youngstown; and St. James Meeting House and the Holiday Inn in Boardman.
