Man in woman's wig sought in Pa. rape
GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — State police are searching for a man disguised with a female wig who forcibly entered a western Pennsylvania woman’s home and raped her.
Trooper Steve Limani says the victim answered her door in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, about 2 p.m. Saturday. A man with a knife and wearing a shoulder-length red wig, tinted women’s sunglasses and lipstick forced his way into the victim’s apartment where he raped her.
The victim told police she could see the man’s brown hair beneath the wig. The man was white, about 6 feet tall, and wore dark men’s clothing — including jeans. The man also had freckles and a homemade tattoo on his arm.
Hempfield is about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh.
