Police grievance over indecent assault charge gets rejected

MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. (AP) — A Pittsburgh-area township has rejected a grievance filed by an officer who has been suspended since he allegedly exposed himself to a 20-year-old bartender.

Fifty-one-year-old Nigel Hodges is awaiting trial on a charge of indecent assault filed by Allegheny County police in October.

Hodges, an officer in Robinson Township, another Pittsburgh suburb, allegedly grabbed and kissed the woman until she broke away. Police say that happened at a bar in North Fayette Township, another Pittsburgh suburb, after the last customer left for the night.

Hodges has pleaded not guilty in the case.

The Robinson Township commissioners on Monday rejected the grievance over his suspension.
