YSU trustees set to choose new president Wednesday

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown State University Board of Trustees appears ready to name the seventh president of the university.

The board has scheduled a special meeting for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center to vote on its selection. The board has declined to reveal in advance who that will be.

Invitations have been issued to various area business and community leaders to attend the session.

The news president will take office in July, succeeding David C. Sweet, who is retiring.
