Rust Belt, Penn Brewing team up for beer tasting

YOUNGSTOWN — Rust Belt Brewing will team up with the Penn Brewing Company of Pittsburgh for its February craft beer-tasting event.

Penn Brewing will offer its Penn Pilsner, Kaiser and Allegheny Pale Ale.

The event will be Saturday at B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave.

There will be two two-hour sessions: 2:30 and 5 p.m.

Food and entertainment will be provided.

Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at the Boxcar Lounge, 530 Mahoning Ave.

Tickets will also be available for sale at the door.

Stambaugh Chorus plans spring concert

YOUNGSTOWN — The Stambaugh Chorus, under the direction of Hae-Jong Lee and with accompanist Joo-Hwa Lee, will present “A Concert of Music and Love” at 4 p.m. March 7 at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave.

The program will include Mozart’s “Tantum Ergo,” selections from “Messiah,” “Past Life Melodies” by Sara Hopkins and selections from Orff’s “Carmina Burana.”

Tickets are $10 at the door, or two for $10 if purchased in advance.

Liz Rubino Studios offers dinner-concert

BOARDMAN — Liz Rubino Studios will present “Totally Awesome ’80s!,” a dinner-concert, March 7 at the Georgetown Banquet Center, 5945 South Ave.

Ministry to present ‘I Might Not Get There’

Dana orchestra will present concert

YOUNGSTOWN —The Dana Symphony Orchestra, conducted by John Wilcox, will perform a concert at 8 p.m. Monday in the Ford Family Recital Hall, 260 W. Federal St.

The repertoire will include works by Brahms, Emmanuel Chabrier, James Barnes, Gordon Jacobs and Francois Borne.

The concert will also feature the three Dana Young Artists Competition winners: Matthew Craig (tuba), Austintown; Alex Snyder (trombone), West Chester; and Julianna Sabo, (flute, Mentor.

Magyar Marketing releases Hungarian CD

YOUNGSTOWN — Magyar Marketing, a Hungarian Import company based in Youngstown and Evansville, Ind., has released “A Hungarian Singalong.”

Scout memorabilia exhibition on display

MERCER, Pa. — An exhibit of Scout memorabilia is on display through March in the lobby of the Mercer County Historical Society, 119 S. Pitt St.

Boy Scout, Girl Scout, Sea Scout and Campfire Girl items, including patches, ceremonial items and photos, are on display. Of special interest are photos and items from Camp Kiondashawa, the former Mercer County Boy Scout camp that was located along the Shenango River near New Hamburg. The camp closed in 1967.
