Pa. State Police looking for man who failed to report to Lawrence Co. facility

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Pennsylvania state police are looking for a 19-year-old man, convicted of assault, who failed to report to the Department of Public Welfare Youth Development Center after attending classes at a Lawrence County college.

State police say Kyle Sean Stanley Mathis of Philadelphia was permitted to attend classes at the Butler County Community College in Union Township, Lawrence County, in an unsupervised capacity.

Mathis was supposed to be picked up about 11:45 a.m. Saturday by youth development center staff at the school, but failed to show up at a designated location.

Mathis is possibly still in the New Castle area, state police said.
