Middle school art students earn honors

Poland Middle School art students had work displayed at the McDonough Museum on the YSU campus for the 2010 Scholastic Art Exhibition, Jan. 16 through Feb. 5.

An awards assembly was held Jan. 30 in the Chestnut Room on the YSU campus. Grades seven through 12 from Columbiana, Mahoning, Trumbull and Ashtabula counties participated with 600 works of art displayed at the museum.

Ms. Cunningham’s students were awarded one honorable mention, four gold keys and four silver keys. Silver keys are regional winners and gold keys go on to compete for national awards.
