The Ice Zone, located on McClurg Road in Boardman, is home to a coffee club that features free ice skating lessons. The club was established in 1997 and has been going strong ever since.
Joyce Winger, who has been skating since she was 5 years old, offers free ice skating lessons for club members. There are beginner skaters as well as experienced skaters in the club.
The club is open to anyone who wants to socialize, learn how to ice skate and enjoy good coffee. The Ice Zone Coffee Club meets every Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. for an hour of fun on the ice rink followed by a warm beverage of choice.
