AAPI fundraiser to be at Avalon Inn


HOWLAND — The public is invited to attend a “Sahaara,” the 2010 annual fundraiser to be sponsored by the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, Saturday at the grand ballroom of the Avalon Inn. Donations will benefit the Autism Society.

Hors d’oeuvres will be served at 5:30 p.m. At 6 p.m. Dr. N. Doe, nephrologist, will be speak, and at 7 p.m. the keynote address will be by Jay Williams, mayor of Youngstown.

The saffron patch dinner will be sponsored by Genzyme, and there will be live Hindi music by Rujuta Dholakia and company, Rochester.

The minimum donation will be $100 (larger donations are appreciated), the cost for residents is $50 and for medical students the cost is $25. Admission for non-physician friends will be $100. Checks should be made payable to AAPI and mailed to Dr. Munir Shah, 1724 Daffodil Trail, Poland, OH 44514.
