Pa. FBI slaying suspect's lawyers lay out defense

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Attorneys for a Pittsburgh-area woman awaiting trial on charges of murdering an FBI agent who came to arrest her husband on drug charges have mapped out her defense in several pretrial motions.

Among other things, 41-year-old Christina Korbe’s attorneys want the government to produce background information and reports by local, state and federal officers who raided her Glenshaw home on Nov. 19, 2008.

Her attorneys say they want to make sure the officers aren’t biased because a fellow officer, FBI Agent Sam Hicks, was killed.

Also, Korbe wants the government to turn over evidence that her husband hid his drug activity from her.

She claims she shot the agent because she thought he was an intruder; prosecutors say she knew of her husband’s drug dealing and knowingly shot the agent.
