Niles pols to pick new council member

NILES — Trumbull County Democratic Party Central Committee members from Niles will met at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at Niles City Council Chambers, 15 East State Street, to select a replacement for an open councilman-at-large position.

They will fill the position left vacant by the resignation of Thomas Scarnecchia, who held one of three at-large seats for nearly 15 years.

Scarnecchia resigned in January for health reasons.
