Valentine's events benefit Easter Seals

Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties is having two Valentine’s Day weekend events to benefit Easter Seal programs.

The “Have A Heart” event will provide cash plus a donation to Easter Seals to anyone who brings mismatched, broken, old or unwanted gold, silver and/or platinum items to Komara Jeweler’s in Cornersburg and Howland from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Saturday or 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Customers will receive cash for their items, plus Komara’s will donate a percentage of the value of the items to Easter Seals. Proceeds will help support Easter Seals programs and services for children and adults with disabilities and special needs.

Also, Friendly’s Restaurant in Poland is offering Valentine cards through Saturday to patrons who make a $1 donation to Easter Seals. The cards are redeemable at Friendly’s for five free kid’s cones and $5 off any $25 purchase. The donations support summer camp programs at Easter Seals.
