Ohio snowmobile rider dies in accident

MILLBURY, Ohio (AP) — A northern Ohio man has died after a snowmobile he was riding went off the road and struck a utility pole.

Authorities outside Toledo think alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 47-year-old Jeffery Shamp of Millbury died at the scene of the crash Tuesday night.

Snow covered the area just south of Toledo with up to 10 inches of snow.
