Ohio man charged for tattooing a 1-year-old

LOUISVILLE, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio is man facing a felony child endangering charge because authorities say he tattooed the rear end of a 1-year-old girl visiting his home.

Police in the Canton area say 20-year-old Lee Deitrick of Louisville tattooed the letter “A” on the girl last November. There was no explanation why the letter “A” was used.

Authorities say there’s no evidence the mother permitted the tattooing.

The suspect’s grandmother calls the tattoo “a wee-little hairline” and says there’s hardly anything left of it.

Deitrick was locked up in the county jail in Canton and awaiting a court hearing later today.
