Columbiana County tax reminder issued

LISBON — Columbiana County Treasurer Nick Barborak is reminding county residents that the real property taxes for the first half of the year are due March 12, and taxes for manufactured homes are due March 19.

The treasurer’s Office has mailed 58,240 real estate and 4,077 manufactured home tax bills to owners.

People who have not received a bill or have questions concerning their tax bill should contact the treasurer’s office at (330) 424-9514. Failure to receive a bill is not a defense against nonpayment. A 10-percent penalty will applied to tax bills not paid on time.

Barborak said payments postmarked on the deadlines will be considered paid on time.
