MADISON, Wis. — Demetri McCamey scored 27 points and Mike Tisdale added 19 on 8-of-11 shooting to lead Illinois to an upset, snapping the Badgers’ 51-0 home record against unranked Big Ten opponents under coach Bo Ryan. The Illini (17-8, 9-3) became the first team to beat Ryan three times at the Kohl Center after wins in 2005 and ’06 and ended Wisconsin’s 18-game home winning streak. Wisconsin (18-6, 8-4) got 15 points from Jason Bohannon.

Akron 56, Central Michigan 52
MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. — Steve McNees scored 16 points, making everything he tried from the field and the line, and Akron finished on a 12-3 run. McNees made all four shots — each a 3-pointer — and all four free throws to lead the Zips (18-7, 8-3 Mid-American), who won for the fifth time in six games. Jimmy Conyers and Darryl Roberts added 11 points apiece. Jordan Bitzer scored 20 points and Robbie Harman 13 for the Chippewas (11-11, 6-4). Bitzer became the 26th player in school history with 1,000 points; he has 1,018.
Ohio 90, Western Michigan 74
ATHENS — Tommy Freeman scored a career-high 30 points and tied a career-best with six 3-pointers. Armon Bassett added 21 points, including five 3s, and a career-high nine assists for the Bobcats (13-11, 4-6 MAC), who hit a season-high 14 of 23 3-pointers (60.9 percent) in the win. The Broncos finished just 8 of 23 from long range (34.8 percent).
Kenneth Van Kempen finished with 12 points and D.J. Cooper added 11 for Ohio. Western Michigan got a pair of early 3s for a 6-2 lead, but Freeman hit his first 3-pointer of the game for Ohio, sparking a 10-0 run, and the Bobcats didn’t trail again. Ohio led by 20 points at halftime and held on despite being outscored by the Broncos 49-45 in the second. Martelle McLemore tied his career high with 24 points for the Broncos (13-11, 5-6).
