Pa. man found dead near snowy staircase

CANONSBURG, Pa. (AP) — An autopsy has been set on a western Pennsylvania man who was found dead at the bottom of a snowy church staircase across the street from the personal care home where he lived.

Canonsburg police and the Washington County Coroner are investigating the death of 60-year-old Wayne Murphy whose body was found about 7:40 p.m. Sunday.

Police say his body was found at the bottom of the stairs behind Mount Olive Baptist Church. Murphy lived in a personal care home across the street where officials reported him missing about noon Sunday.
