Ohio woman dies from dog attack
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) — Police in a Cleveland suburb say a 63-year-old woman has died after an apparent attack by her Rottweiler-mix dog.
According to police, Carolyn Baker of Cleveland Heights went to her backyard early Sunday morning to bring the dog inside. Minutes later, police say her sleeping husband was awakened by a call from a neighbor that the dog was loose.
According to police, Ricardo Baker found his wife in their driveway with severe arm and shoulder injuries and bite marks.
Authorities say the woman died at Huron Hospital.
An autopsy is expected today, and police have impounded the dog.
