AUCTIONS
• Youngstown Kiwanis Club is accepting donations for its 56th annual Radio Auction on April 7. The auction will be broadcast from 5 to 11 p.m. on 1390-AM WNIO. For more information visit www.youngstownkiwanis.com.
CARD PARTIES
• Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road N.E., Warren, will host a Casino Night and Texas Hold ’em event Feb. 20 in the gymnasium. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and play begins at 5:30. Registration and a $50 buy-in between now and Feb. 18 will receive $1,500 in chips. There will be a 60 percent payout to the top 10 players. The evening will feature blackjack and poker tables, raffles and a chuck-a-luck wheel. Walk-ins are welcome. Refreshments will be available. DANCES
• McDonald F.O.P. will sponsor a Valentine’s Day Dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the McDonald Knights of Columbus, 1057 Illinois Ave., McDonald. BYOB; pizza, beer, pop and chips will be provided. Admission is $10 per person. Tickets are available at the McDonald Municipal Building or from members of the McDonald F.O.P.
FLEA MARKETS
• Salem Memorial Building Association will host an Indoor Winter Flea Market and Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 20 in the gym. Reservations are being taken from anyone who wants to participate; an 8-foot table with chairs can be reserved for $10. All items are subject to approval. Setup time is from 6 to 8 a.m. To reserve a space, stop in or mail your request and donation to the Salem Memorial Building, 785 E. State St., Salem OH 44460. FUNDRAISERS
• FOP Lodge 42 will sponsor a fundraiser that will include dinner, drinks and a chance to win $1,000 on March 13 at St. John the Baptist Church, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell. The money will be used to establish a K-9 unit in Campbell. Tickets can be purchased from the police department for $50 each. Those who buy tickets will be able to take a guest for an additional $25. A 50-50 raffle, door prizes and a miniboard will also be featured. Tickets are limited. The event will begin with cocktails at 6 p.m., and dinner will be at 7. The FOP is accepting donations of pop and beer to be taken to the police department, where officers will store it until the night of the fundraiser.
• Holy Bible Church of God, 54 St. Louis Ave., Youngstown, will have a “Purse-A-Nality” fundraiser from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The public is invited to an afternoon of shopping featuring purses and jewelry with no designer knockoffs. Proceeds from the event will be directed to the Haitian relief effort.
RAFFLES
• St. Patrick School in Hubbard will have its annual Reverse Raffle on Feb. 20 in the church hall, 367 N. Main St. Grand prize is $2,500, with prize money totaling $3,000. Raffle tickets are $50 each and include one dinner. Extra dinners can be purchased for $15 each. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails followed by a catered dinner at 7. The raffle begins at 8 p.m. There will also be a Chinese auction. All proceeds benefit St. Patrick School. For more information, call (330) 534-2509.
• Ursuline High School community is selling shamrock raffle tickets for $10 each. The drawing will be April 29, and first, second and third prizes are $10,000, $1,500 and $500, respectively. To purchase tickets, call (330) 744-4563, ext. 125 or 131. Proceeds will benefit students at the school.

• Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The ReStore carries a wide variety of furniture, including a large selection of couches and many large metal professional office desks; used building materials such as doors, windows, sinks, hardware and plumbing; lighting; home decor items; large and small appliances; electronics; toys; books and much more. All items are sold at low discount prices. ReStore takes donations and sells to the public, all to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s home-building program. • Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.
SPECIAL EVENTS

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Professional and amateur cooks will prepare pasta dishes and amateur wine makers will provide a variety of wines. Area celebrities will serve as judges. • Congregation Rodef Sholom, 1119 Elm St., will sponsor an interfaith tea at 1 p.m. Feb. 15. Featured will be music by Rabbi Muller and his guitar, and the Joyous Voices of Song. People of all denominations are invited and asked to make reservations by calling (330) 744-5001. Co-sponsors are Ohev Tzedez, Temple El Emeth and Children of Israel.
