Tranovich 60th marked at family dinner in Niles

AUSTINTOWN — The 60th anniversary of their wedding was observed by Mr. and Mrs. Peter Tranovich, 27 Hood St., during a 6 p.m. family dinner party that took place on Feb. 6 at the Olive Garden Restaurant in Niles.

Hosts for the event were their children and their spouses, David and Mary Jane Tranovich of Canfield; Ken and Teri Tranovich of Austintown, and Jerry and Sonya Tranovich of Niles. The couple also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The former Dorothy Hack and Mr. Tranovich were united in marriage on Feb. 4, 1950, at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Youngstown, where they are members. They are also members of the Golden Pillars.

Mr. Tranovich served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Lexington from 1942 to 1945. He was employed at Hynes Steel Company in Austintown prior to retiring. He is a member of the Austintown VFW.
