ERIKA SMITH CARLTON INGRAM

RICHMOND, VA. — Erika Lynne Smith, daughter of Presley and Dorothea Smith of Richmond, and Carlton Louis Ingram, son of Carlton K. and Portia Ingram of Youngstown, were united in marriage Oct. 17 at the Omni Hotel.

Dr. Alvin Edwards and the Rev. Kimberly Dixon officiated at the 11 a.m. ceremony, and the newlyweds were honored during an afternoon reception at the hotel’s James Rivers Ballroom. They honeymooned in Hawaii and live in Atlanta, Ga.

The bride wore an ivory strapless gown.

Black gowns were worn by the bride’s sister and honor attendant, Jessica Smith of Richmond, and the bridesmaids, Tianna Ingram of Youngstown, a sister of the groom; Dr. Lesli Brown of Richmond; and Lonnise Warfield-Adegbesokun of Philadelphia.

Curtis Ingram of Youngstown performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Charles Austin of Endicott, Md.; and Timothy Bennett and Abraham Adegbesokun, both of Philadelphia.

Mrs. Ingram graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and from the University of Georgia in Athens with a master’s in business administration. She is a consultant with IBM.

Mr. Ingram, an underwriter with Aetna, graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in legal studies, and from St. Joseph University in Philadelphia with a master’s degree in business administration.
