BALTIMORE, Md. — Christina Maria Monmonier of Baltimore and Brian William Hewko of Canfield were married Sept. 5 at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church and honored during a reception at Maryvale Castle in Brooklandville, Md.
The Revs. Bryan Eyman and Vasyl Sivinskyi and the Rev. Deacon Donald Billy officiated.
Parents of the bride are Donna and Sean Davis of Baltimore and Joseph Monmonier of Naples, Fla. The groom is a son of Kathryn Hewko, 492 Shadydale Drive, Canfield, and the late Basil J. Hewko. The couple live in Enterprise, Ala.
The bride wore a strapless white gown embellished with crystals and pearls and featuring a cathedral train.
Lavender gowns with champagne sashes were worn by Claire Johnson, honor attendant, and bridesmaids, Callie Silvestri, the bride’s cousin, and Teresa Theobald. Flower girls were the bride’s niece, Ava Monmonier, and her cousin, Maeve Davis.
Best man was Nicholas Hewko, the groom’s brother, and groomsmen were Michael Jenoff, his cousin, and Nick Bodak. Ring bearers were the groom’s nephews Nicholas and Alexander Hewko.
The couple graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., as 1st lieutenants with bachelor’s degrees, hers in systems engineering and military arts and sciences, and his in mechanical engineering and human geography. They are stationed at Fort Rucker, Ala., where they are receiving aviation training.
