Anniversary party honors Mr., Mrs. Siegel

GIRARD — The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Siegel, 410 E. Broadway, was celebrated Dec. 27 at a party given by their family at the Boardman home of a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Ed Donoghue.

Co-hosts for the event were the couple’s children, Rick Siegel and Marianne Smith of Girard, Bill and Libby Siegel of Boston, Mimi and Dave Gatesman of Boardman, and Scott and Katie Siegel of Girard. There are seven grandchildren in the family: Brian, Kaley, Kelly, Kirstin, Garrett, Liam and Scott Jr.

Earlier in the day The Rev. John Keehner bestowed a blessing on the anniversary couple during Mass at St. Columba Cathedral.

On Sept. 26, 1959, the former Mary Ann Kaley and Mr. Siegel were united in marriage at St. Rose Church, where they are members.

Mrs. Siegel retired as an executive assistant with Huntington Insurance Co. in Youngstown.

Mr. Siegel is general manager at Anatomical Concepts Inc. in Poland and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
