Ursuline Preschool and Kindergarten students brought their fathers to school for a Doughnuts with Dad breakfast event on Jan. 29.

Kids showed off their classroom, and sat with their dads to make bookmarks for their families, play games and draw at their tables.

The preschool also held a Muffins with Mom breakfast event on Jan. 25.

“This is an activity so we can get moms and dads socializing both with other adults and also with their children at the same time,” Sister Charlotte Italiano, director of Ursuline Preschool, said. “It is a good community building thing — the dads don’t get together very often so this has been great!”

Both events were part of Ursuline Preschool and Kindergarten’s celebration of Catholic Schools Week, which took place this year between Jan. 31 and Feb. 6.
