Rotary gears up for fundraiser

The Rotary Club of Austintown is preparing for its annual reverse raffle to be held at the Maronite Center on Mar. 6. The event will begin with appetizers and refreshments at 6 p.m. and a dinner at 7 p.m., followed by the raffle and Chinese auction.

Tickets are available from any member for $150, which includes two dinners. Cost is $25 for the mini board side raffle.

Chairpersons for the event are Dave Buttar and Deanna Spirko for tickets, Michael Cafaro for dinner arrangements, and Rachel Solida and Melissa Crowley for the Chinese auction.

Proceeds from this event are used for scholarships, Woodside Reads program, dictionaries for all third-graders in the area, library contributions, Junior Achievement programs and many contributions to local, national and international polio, water and education projects.
