Neighbors | Submitted .PANDA student volunteers from Boardman, Girard, Liberty and Lowellville come together for a afternoon of bowling on Jan. 23. Camalot Lanes in Boardman housed the bowling party that was sponsored by Meridian Services.

Students from the Mahoning Valley filled the walls of Boardman’s Camelot Lanes in support of raising addiction awareness.

Prevent and Neutralize Drug and Alcohol Abuse (PANDA) sponsored a bowling party Jan. 23 for its members which included students from Boardman, Girard, Liberty and Lowellville.

PANDA, established by Meridian Services in 1982, is a drug abuse prevention and wellness program that raises awareness of drug and alcohol abuse. It is a program that operates year-round and events such the bowling party are used to keep students involved and informed.

More than 40 students came out to enjoy an afternoon of bowling in support of drug and alcohol abuse prevention.

The event was open to all PANDA members from the Mahoning Valley and the bowling party was from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
