First, second and third-graders went head-to-head in St. Luke School’s spelling bee on Tuesday.

The event was one of the activities in place for Catholic School Week. First-grader Tarren Amill stole first place, second-grader Katie Enright placed second and third-grader Joe Granchie cane in third.

All three winners were given a prize bag containing school supplies. They will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the year.

Other activities for the week included a quiz and trivia bowl on Wednesday and a basketball competition on Friday.
