WEDNESDAY
• Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a baked chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today and Feb. 10 at the church. The menu will include salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY
• Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will be selling dinners from 4-6 p.m. or until sold out. Dinners consist of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans for $6. Take advantage of drive-through service. Drive to the front of the church and someone will hand you a dinner to go. There’s no need to preorder or get out of your car.
• Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, (Route 62) Canfield, is having Takeout Thursday. Dinners of stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, green beans and a brownie will be for sale from 4 p.m. until they’re sold out. The dinners will be sold the first Thursday of every month. The cost is $7 per dinner. No need to get out of the car; just drive through and pick up dinners. No reservations are needed.
FRIDAY
• First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave., Columbiana, will sell homemade chili from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $6 a quart. Cornmeal muffins will be three for $1, and a slice of pie will be $1.50 Containers are provided for this carryout event. To reserve an order, call the church at (330) 482-2666.
• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.
• Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be available at 11 a.m. Friday.
• St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call (330) 799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or after 8 a.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.
• St. Christine Church will serve fish dinners from 4 to 8 p.m. at the parish center, 3165 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The menu will include fried or baked haddock or shrimp, coleslaw, choice of two sides (fries, macaroni and cheese, haluski or pirogi), and desserts. Beverages will be available. • Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.
• St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9-11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 12:30 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza, and $5 for white pizza.
• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi Friday. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.
• Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, Warren, will have an all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. (or until sold out). Meals include deep fried ocean perch, home fries, coleslaw desserts and beverage. Meatloaf will be available.
SATURDAY
• First United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St., Sharon, Pa., will serve chicken pie suppers from 4 to 7 p.m. .The cost is $7.50 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. For reservations call (724) 983-0200. Tickets will be available at the door.
• Girard First United Methodist Church, 25 N. Market St., will serve creamed chicken and biscuit dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 4 to 12, free for those under 4. SUNDAY
• First United Methodist Church of Hubbard will have its annual Super Bowl Sunday Submarine sandwich sale. To place an order, call (330) 534-3383 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays. The donation is $5 and includes a bag of chips. All orders must be placed by Thursday. Orders can be picked up at the church, 48 Church St., just behind the fire station, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. An elevator is available just off the church parking lot on the East side of the building. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the church’s mission program.
• Poland Masonic Temple, 7685 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, Poland, will serve Swiss steak dinners from noon to 4 p.m. (or until sold out). The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. Carryouts will be available.
• St. Mary Church, 3504 state Route 46, Mineral Ridge, will have a pancake, french toast, sausage and egg breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the social hall. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 8 and under. Meals will include salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Containers will be provided for takeouts.
