Memorial services set for Bishop Norman L. Wagner

YOUNGSTOWN — Public services have been set for Bishop Norman L. Wagner, 68, former presiding bishop and the diocesan of the 13th Episcopal District, and longtime pastor of Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church on Oak Hill Avenue. Bishop Wagner died Saturday.

There will be a musical tribute honoring his life beginning at 7 p.m. Monday. Many gospel artists and featured guests will participate. This service will be at Calvary Ministries International, 1812 Oak Hill Ave.

"The Celebration of a Shepherd and Statesman," service will be from noon to 6 p.m.Tuesday in the sanctuary of Calvary Ministries International. The services will begin at 7 p.m. as a memorial for the home church.

On Wednesday, there will be a public viewing of Bishop Wagner from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. The Presiding Bishop, Dr. Horace Smith, will be the eulogist.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting monetary contributions made payable to "Calvary Ministries care of the N.L. Wagner Foundation" mailed to 4235 Pebble Beach Drive, Canfield, Ohio 44406.
