Choice Hotels International coming to former MetroPlex in Liberty

LIBERTY — A Clarion sign will go up May 1, advertising the MetroPlex Hotel and Convention Center on Belmont Avenue as part of Choice Hotels International.

Dr. Indira Sammy, who bought the MetroPlex with two family members for $900,000, made the announcement this morning at a press conference. She said an agreement was signed with Clarion late last year.

The hotel will conduct an official public opening March 1 and the banquet center will open April 1.
