Volunteerism can earn a free Disney ticket
GIRARD — Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley is teaming up with Disney and the Hands On Network to boost local volunteerism through the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program.
Disney wants to inspire 1 million people to volunteer a day of service to a participating organization in their communities. Volunteering in a JA classroom, serving as a JA Job Shadow host or participating in one of JA’s site-based programs all fit the criteria.
For the good works, Disney will give each volunteer a free one-day admission to Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort.
Volunteers can register online at www.disneyparks.com, search for Junior Achievement volunteer opportunities, and sign up.
The JA office will verify the service, and volunteers will receive an e-mail from Disney prompting them to log into their account and print a voucher that may be redeemed for a free Disney theme park ticket.
For more information contact Melissa D’Apolito of JA at (330) 539-5268 or jamvmelissa@onecom.com.
