Freeman leads Ohio past Norfolk St.

Tommy Freeman scored 19 points and D.J. Cooper posted his eighth career double-double as Ohio routed Norfolk State 92-56 on Thursday night.

Cooper had 11 points and 10 assists for the Bobcats (7-6), who had their second-highest point total of the season behind a 112-107 four-overtime loss to St. Bonaventure on Dec. 18.

They also allowed a season low for points and field goals (18).

UNC Wilmington 64, Toledo 42

WILMINGTON, N.C.

Chad Tomko had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead North Carolina-Wilmington to a 64-42 victory over Toledo on Thursday night.

Trevor Deloach added 13 points for the Seahawks (6-6).

Belmont 83, Miami (Ohio) 72

NASHVILLE, Tenn.

Drew Hanlen scored 17 points, Kerron Johnson added 15 and Trevor Noack 11 for Belmont.

The point totals for Hanlen, Johnson and Noack were all new career highs as the Bruins (10-3) improved to 8-0 against teams from outside the state of Tennessee.

No. 16 BYU 90, Buffalo 82

Jimmer Fredette shook off a sluggish start to score 28 of his season-high 34 points in the second half and Noah Hartsock added 19 to lead No. 16 BYU over Buffalo 90-82 Thursday night.

Bandon Davies added 18 for the Cougars (13-1).

Bowling Green 70, Texas-San Antonio 59
