Cleveland State routs Loyola; Wright State cruises

Aaron Pogue had 16 points and 12 rebounds as Cleveland State breezed to a 73-55 victory over Loyola of Chicago in a Horizon League game Thursday night.

Trevon Harmon added 14 points while Jeremy Montgomery and Norris Cole each contributed 12 points for the Vikings (14-1, 3-0).

The Ramblers (9-5, 0-3) had no double-figure scorers as Walt Gibler and Courtney Stanley shared top-scoring honors with nine points each.

Wright State 68, Milwaukee 44

Cooper Land led Wright State with 21 points Thursday night and the Raiders routed Milwaukee.

The Raiders (8-6, 1-1) shot 61.5 percent from the field in the first half (16 of 26) and built a 40-29 halftime lead. Milwaukee was playing for the first time since Dec. 18 — its longest break between games since a 20-day respite in 1993.

The Panthers got 15 points from Tony Meier but had a hard time finding a secondary source of offense.

Detroit 79, Wisconsin-Green Bay 56

Eli Holman had 12 points and 13 rebounds and Detroit shot well from the field and the line. Chase Simon and Ray McCallum led the Titans (8-6, 2-0) with 17 points apiece.
