Erika Nites scored nine of her game-high 16 points in the third quarter as the unbeaten Tigers (7-0) surged to a 46-35 lead. Taylor Williams scored 13 points, pulled down 10 of Howland’s 21 rebounds and made five steals. Paige Loychik netted 11 points and Kaylee Redon nine. Olivia Nicholas contributed seven points and six assists. For GlenOak (4-5), Ashlee Rininger scored 14 points and had seven rebounds. Also scoring in double figures were Nancy Osborne with 11 and Becca Brown with 10.

Chaney 65, Farrell (Pa.) 49

HERMITAGE, PA.

Laniece McRae continued her hot season with a double-double effort as part of a holiday tournament. She scored 20 points for the Cowgirls (4-3) and brought down 22 rebounds. She also blocked four shots. Also scoring in the double figures were Zatona Yancey with 13 and Mylleshia Cotton and Shawniece Allen with 11 each.

Firestone 61, East 45

YOUNGSTOWN

Lesa Oliver had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead East (4-5) against unbeaten Akron Firestone (9-0). Chelsea Bennett added 11 points, five steals and five assists for the Panthers, who trailed 25-20 at halftime. Taylor McCallister scored 17 points and Imani Gordon had 14 points and 11 rebounds for Firestone.

Hoover 60, Canfield 43

NORTH CANTON

Sabrina Mangapora scored 13 points and Callie Wollet 10 for the Cardinals (4-3). Mangapora pulled down eight rebounds.
