DQ store to serve up a special Jan. 1 treat

CORNERSBURG

The Cornersburg Dairy Queen is thanking its customers on New Year’s Day by selling all items at half price.

The sale, from 1 to 7 p.m. Jan. 1, is one of the busiest days of the year for the store, at 3555 S. Meridian Road, said owner Christine Smith in a news release.

Smith said the event is a treat for employees as well. She said the 13 employees who clocked the most hours during the summer work the sale and are rewarded with the day’s proceeds.

“The more they sell, the more money they make,” she said. “It is our special bonus to them for their hard work all summer long.”
