CHARLOTTE, N.C.

James and Joan Novak of Charlotte, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter Nicole Dina Novak to Michael James Ost, son of Debra Stahara of Pittsburgh and James E. Ost of Wellsville, N.Y.

The bride-to-be attended Bethany College and received a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Ohio Northern University. She is owner and operator of Double N Stable in Charlotte.

The prospective groom earned his degree from Alfred State Tech College and is employed by Earnhardt-Childress Racing in Welcome, N.C.

A May wedding in Davidson, N.C., is planned.
