Family dinner honors Sciroccos’ 60th anniversary

A family dinner Dec. 5 at Cafe 422 in Warren honored Mr. and Mrs. John Scirocco, of Girard, who were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

The couple’s children were the hosts. They are Debbie (Richard) Frost of Mineral Ridge, Marilyn Partain of Girard and John (Theresa) Scirocco of Niles. The Sciroccos also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The former Ann Rodnick and Mr. Scirocco were married on Dec. 2, 1950, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Youngstown. They are members of St. Rose Church in Girard.

He retired in 1991 from the P&LE Railroad in Lowellville, where he was a brakeman. Mr. Scirocco also served in the U.S. Air Force.
