Dinner honors Stothards for anniversary

Family members and invited guests attended a 4:30 p.m. Mass on Nov. 27 at St. Jude Church in Columbiana, where Mr. and Mrs. Norman Stothard of North Lima received a special blessing in recognition of the 50th anniversary of their wedding. Afterward the couple were honored at a buffet dinner party at Johnny’s Restaurant in Boardman, where their anniversary was celebrated.

Hosts for the festivities were their children and their spouses, Christine and Clark Morain of Harrison City, Pa.; Patricia and William Beard of Columbiana; and Dr. Diane Stothard of Indianapolis, Ind. The couple have four grandchildren.

The former Anita Tahos and Mr. Stothard were united in marriage Nov. 19, 1960, at St. Brendan Church in Youngstown. They are members of St. Jude Church.

Mrs. Stothard retired in 2003 as a junior high school teacher at St. Brendan School in Youngstown. She is a member of Catholic Collegiate and Ohio Cultural Alliance.

Mr. Stothard, a journeyman painter with Bochert Bros. Painting in Youngstown, retired in 1997. He is a member of the Ohio Cultural Alliance and Painter’s Local 476.
