Where to go
Christmas trees, wrapping paper and greeting cards can be recycled after the holidays through the Recycling Division of Mahoning County, also known as the Green Team. The Christmas-tree recycling program is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today to Jan. 31. All decorations should be removed before recycling. For more information, call the Green Team at 330-740-2060. County residents can recycle their cut trees at one of these locations:
Austintown Township Park: 6000 Kirk Road.
Berlin Township Building: U.S. Route 224, Berlin Center.
Canfield Township Fire Station: 5007 Messerly Road.
Craig Beach/Milton Township: Mahoning Avenue across from Miller Marine.
Ellsworth Township Fire Station: state Route 45.
Goshen Township: Maintenance garage, 12649 Seacrist Road.
Green Township Cemetery: intersection of state Route 165 and Beaver Creek Road.
Jackson Township Fire Station: 229 N. Salem-Warren Road, North Jackson.
Lowellville: Village Street Department, 3 West McGaffney Road.
Mahoning County: Southside Annex, 2801 Market St., Youngstown.
New Middletown/Springfield: 10720 Struthers Road, next to the fire station.
Poland Township: Road Department, 7508 Clingan Road.
Smith Township: Township Building, 846 North Johnson Road, Sebring.
Struthers: City will provide curbside pickup.
Miscellaneous: Wrapping paper and greeting cards should be collected in brown paper bags and delivered to any of the community recycling drop-off sites between today and Jan. 15.
