Service

Jim McGrath has joined Quaker Steak & Lube Franchising Corp., as senior vice president of company operations. In his new role, he will work on growing the company-owned restaurant portfolio and develop the new Lube Management Company, formed to operate Quaker Steak & Lube restaurants for developer franchises. McGrath most recently served as chief operating officer of StepStone Hospitality, a hotel and restaurant company based in New England. He has also had positions at Meyer Jabara Hotels and Lodgian Hotels and Bristol Hotels & Resorts.

Transportation

The Allegheny County Airport Authority has announced the appointment of Paul Hoback Jr. as director of maintenance. In this role, Hoback will direct all operations in field maintenance, facilities maintenance and airline services at Pittsburgh International Airport. These duties include ensuring the quality of the airfield and all Airport Authority buildings, including the Landside and Airside terminals. The maintenance department employs 276 employees. Hoback previously served as manager of maintenance administration and planning, and as a mechanical project manager in the engineering and construction department. He earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Geneva College.

Finance

Bruce Flyak has joined the accounting firm of Bodine Perry as a senior accountant. Flyak, a certified public accountant, will bolster the firm’s accounting and auditing department from its offices in Canfield, Columbus and Warren. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.

Legal

Ryan Kuchmaner has joined Black McCuskey Souers & Arbaugh law firm as an associate, with a focus on business, commercial litigation and real-estate law. The Canfield native is a former summer associate at the firm, located in Canton. He earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration and finance from Ohio State University and a joint master’s of business administration and law degree from Case Western Reserve University.
