Army Specialist Jason M. Fox, a 2008 graduate of Chaney High School, was deployed from Fort Polk, La., to Afghanistan in October. Fox is the son of Karen and Jim Fox and brother of Ashley Fox, all of Youngstown, and grandson of Carol and Bud Dubiel of Poland.

ADVANCED TRAINING

Information systems

Navy Seaman Apprentice Brianna L. Polley, daughter of Carol L. and Jeffrey L. Polley of Jamestown, Pa., graduated from the Aviation Logistics Tactical Information Systems Course with Marine Detachment Naval Support Activity, Athens, Ga.

During the 25-week course, Polley received technical training on computer-network information-systems operation, installation, maintenance and repair; and on digital-network infrastructures in support of the Naval Tactical Command Support System. She is a 2010 graduate of Jamestown Area High School.

BASIC TRAINING GRADS

Air Force: Airman Keteris L. Tucker (Mount Vernon High School, Alexandria, Va., ‘10), daughter of Lisa Johnson of Alexandria, and granddaughter of Doretha Jones of Youngstown.

Navy: Seaman Apprentice Kevin D. Talley Jr. (Farrell High School, Farrell, Pa., ’08) son of Kevin D. Talley I and stepson of Lynette Talley, both of Farrell; Seaman Zachary C. Parks (United High School, Hanoverton, ’10), son of Rodney and Joyce A. Parks.
