AARP is seeking volunteers to provide tax assistance
AARP Tax Aide, the nation’s largest free, volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service is seeking volunteers to assist in its 2011 programs.
Free tax training programs will begin Jan. 10 at Howland Community Church on state Route 46 and will result in IRA certification for all tax counselors.
AARP Tax Aide will prepare taxes for anyone who earns less than $100,000 and does not operate a business that maintains inventory or uses any financial systems other than cash accounting.

Girard Multigenerational Center: Tuesday-Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
