Slovak Society celebrates Christmas in Poland

Adult and youth members of the National Slovak Society Assembly 731 and their invited friends attended a Christmas Party Dec. 5 at Holy Family Parish Center in Poland.

Following lunch, everyone sang Christmas carols to welcome Santa Claus (James Cessna, Jr. of Boardman). A photo was taken of each child with Santa and was printed for them to make a special 2010 Christmas ornament as a keepsake.

Attendees contributed more than $200 in a 50/50 raffle with half being donated to the Beatitude House, serving disadvantaged women and children in the area.
