Habitat honors Re-store volunteers

Four volunteers were recognized by Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning County for their work and dedication for Habitat’s Re-store and service to the organizations.

Joseph Hallas, Aggie Butler, Joe McCabe and Bette Pacella received the Golden Nail awards for their volunteer service.

Hallas has been volunteering at the Re-store for three years, while Butler, McCabe and Bette have donated their time for more than two years.

Presenting the awards were Re-store manager Linda Hartwig, who explained the mission of Habitat and the importance that volunteers play in the success of the organization.

Habitat for Humanity has built 29 homes, and its goal for 2011 is to build four additional units. The profits from the Re-store pay for the administration of the Habitat projects.
