A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Dec. 13

Identity theft: A Sawmill Run Drive resident reported she had been notified of charges made to a charge card account that she had not opened.

Identity fraud: A Bradford Drive man told police he was contacted by a collection agency about a bill for a Dish Network account that some person opened in his name.

Dec. 14

Theft: Several pieces of gold jewelry were reported stolen from a home in the 1000 block of West Main Street.

Identity fraud: Police arrested Robert Paul McLaughlin, 62, of Painesville, on charges of telephone harassment, extortion, possessing criminal tools, menacing by stalking, receiving stolen property, indentity fraud, engaging in a pattern of corrupt acts and pandering obscenity.

Dec. 15

Theft: An employee at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St., reported she witnessed a man take a DVD and drive off in a green vehicle driven by a woman.

Dec. 16

Arrest: Police arrested Justin Luzier, 22, of 9525 Woodworth Road, North Lima, on a Canfield mayor’s court warrant.

Dec. 17

Theft: McQuaid’s Gas Station, 407 W. Main St., reported the possible theft of more than 700 gallons of gasoline since its gas tank levels are coming up low.

Dec. 18

Drug paraphernalia: Police charged James Wyckoff Sr., 55, of 4920 Coal Road, Vienna, with possession of drug paraphernalia (a suspected crack pipe), and Timothy Fabian, 28, same address, with possession of drug paraphernalia, also a suspected crack pipe, on West Main Street.

Disorderly conduct: Police charged John Dunn, 49, of 497 Shadydale St., with the crime.

Dec. 13

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Ted Kilgore, 30, of 2290 Wick, Warren, for possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse of marijuana after his arrest at state Route 46 and Mahoning Avenue.

Warrant: Police arrested Mark Centofanti, 44, of 528 North Road, Niles, on a warrant for probation violation and failure to comply.

Telecommunications harassment: A man reported being harassed through texting at a home in the 40 block of East Liberty Street.

Telecommunications harassment: A man is a suspect in telecommunications harassment at a home in the 4000 block of Plumbrook Drive.

Telecommunications harassment: A man is a suspect in telecommunications harassment at a home in the 3000 block of Kirk Road.

Dec. 14

Breaking and entering: A Craftsman snowblower was stolen from a home in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Aggravated menacing: A man is accused of aggravated menacing at a home in the 6000 block of Timberidge Avenue.

Theft: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 4000 block of Kerrybrook Drive.

Theft: A computer was stolen from Sprint, 5625 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police arrested Caknesha Mitchell, 26, of 345 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, for theft of $55.96 in children’s clothing, and Quentin Hollingshead, 27, of 158 W. Delason Ave., Youngstown, for theft of $28.98 in children’s clothing at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Auto theft: A 2001 Ford Expedition was stolen from a home in the 90 block of North Turner Road and recovered in a hit-skip crash on state Route 46.

Theft: Twenty-three Vicodin pills were taken from a home in the 4000 block of East Radio Road.

Burglary: Tires were taken from a home in the 300 block of Artmar Drive.

Dec. 15

Assault: A man is a suspect in an assault at a home in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.

Fraud: An item was purchased on the Internet and never received at a home in the 1000 block of Brockton Drive.

Dec. 16

Criminal damaging: A mailbox was damaged at a home in the 200 block of North Turner Road.

Fraud: Avon products were ordered and paid for with a counterfeit check for $1,950 at an apartment in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.

Assault: An assault was reported at the Go-Go Cabaret, 5455 Clarkins Road.

Identity fraud: Unauthorized use of a checking account was reported at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Drug offense: Police charged Aldric Jones, 20, of 957 Parkview Ave., Youngstown, and Edward Campbell, 20, 630 W. Princeton Ave., Youngstown, with drug abuse and trafficking in crack cocaine, drug abuse of marijuana, drug paraphernalia obstructing official business and warrants alleging criminal damaging and assault after their arrest at an apartment in the 4000 block of South Raccoon Road. Campbell also had a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear in court on a seat-belt citation.

Dec. 17

Disorderly conduct: Police charged Kayla Strange, 19, of 6593 Country Ridge Ave., Austintown, with disorderly conduct and failure to desist at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: A camera was stolen from a desk at Head Start, 122 Westchester Drive.

Fraud: A Home Savings and Loan debit card was compromised by $150 at a home in the 5000 block of Oakcrest Drive.

Theft: An iPhone was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Assault: A man is a suspect in an assault at Bill’s Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave.

Vehicle theft: A 1999 Chevrolet Suburban was stolen at Westgate Ford, 4493 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Rhiannon Summerville, no age or address listed, for theft of $308 in merchandise that was taken and recovered at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated menacing: A resident was assaulted and threatened by a woman at an apartment in the 1000 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Dec. 18

Theft: A total of $49 in gasoline was stolen from the BP gas station, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Warrant: Police issued a warrant to Brian Kaczmark, 34, of 410 Trumbull Ave., Girard, for an assault at Interstate 680 and South Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A headlight on a vehicle was damaged at a home in the 40 block of N. Roanoke Ave.

Theft: A purse was stolen at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Frank Crone, 37, of 521 Western Place, for theft at Walgreens, 3800 Tippecanoe Road. Most of the items he reportedly stole were recovered.

Drug offense: In a house fire, marijuana plants and bongs were discovered in the 2000 block of Innwood Street.

Theft: All seats were taken from an auto parked at the Ice House Inn,5516 W. Webb Road.

Theft: Police charged Robert Sapp, 24, of 2611 Wimber, Warren, with felony theft, complicity and possession of marijuana, and Mark Swartz, 44, same address, was charged with theft at Walmart.
