Police seeking men who invaded home with children

Police are looking for the group of men who allegedly invaded a Lee Avenue home armed with guns and robbed the residents of cash and valuables.

The 28-year-old resident told police three masked men walked into his South Side home through an unlocked door just before 9 p.m. Monday with one of the men brandishing a gun. One of the men pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded money.

According to police, the gunman hit the victim in the head with the weapon. The resident told the men to take whatever they wanted because there were children in the house. The men took $200 from the victim’s pockets as well as a 42-inch flat-screen television set before running from the home.
